Howard Post: Western Perspectives

Featuring four decades of Howard Post’s iconic paintings of the American West, this large format hardcover book delves into the artist’s life’s work and journey from youthful desire to ultimately finding his own voice by returning to his roots and painting what he knows. A fine essay by Jerry Smith chronicles Post’s work and offers succinct observations on the elements that have made him one of the West’s truly unique modern masters. Hardcover, cloth bound, 200 pages, 130 color plates; distributed by University of New Mexico.
